Record Store Day!

Record Store Day is the best day to wake up on. I must say I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of people out and about. I get kind of nervous when there area a lot of people in a closed in area and I dont really know them. So I rushed my way around so that I could breathe easy.

Now for you, you should totally take your time and look around and really get a feel for what you want. (that is, if you dont have the same problems i do) Enjoy the records, cd's, and free stuff. Make a day of it. Just make sure you get out there and make this holiday worth while!

It rained like crazy last night and I had to wake up pretty early today.(totally worth it though) Work is going to be long because no one wants to work on a saturday. I would much rather be eating casa de luz with my boyfriend and his mom but no, i get stuck at a cash drawer for eight hours. But I gotta make that paper.

Everyone needs to take some time and do some crafts.

My "backyard"

I love those rainy days when we get them. The view off my balcony is everything that i want it to be. I can say that I feel pretty happy about that. I am off today and I plan to do some knitting and nothing. One day I will be cool and have huge craft parties where everyone just sits around and talks about nothing. Until then, I will fly solo.

Yesterday i bought a type writer that I really didnt want so I sold it to my roommate. She was much more happy about it than I was. Yes it was old and beautiful and perfect and all of those things. But once I really thought about it, i knew that I would never put it to use. Sadly.

I got my bonnaroo ticket. YAY! Now I just have to figure out how much money my boy and I are going to drop on the whole trip (a lot for sure). However, it will be so worth it.

I got to play with my little lady the other day. We have fun together. Dot the cat is probably the coolest animal ever. She climbs the blinds, wakes you up at 6 am and goes crazy for the lazor pointer. (just about everything you need in a cat)

I bought a new pair of knitting needles today. They are divine. i am going to knit up a storm. They are green. The best green there is. I also got these little birds to use in my needle point work. I hope they can do what i want. If they work, i will show plenty of pictures. I also got my dunce hat paintings framed and hung up. They look better than ever.

I almost karate choped every person that came through my line at work today. It was be super cheesy and lame day and no one sent me the memo. I swear I could have put the ole elbow to some good use today.

I am working on an andy warhol puzzle (thanks jake!) that is slowly beginning to take over my life. I am looking and thinking about it right now. How I want to be over there digging through the pieces just to get one in the right spot.

I own 5 pairs of vans shoes and they are all different. I dont know how that happened but over the years they just added up. I must say i put 4 pairs to good use and the other pair would be put to good use except for the fact that i left them at home the last time I was there.

Lubbock Texas is what I would call "home". Not the best place in the world (especially for vegans) but its where family is. There are a few good things about that place like:

the grid it is set up on

the way no one is on the road after 11 pm

bijou (hair salon)

and some alright places to eat

Sleep is for the dead but I must get some.

Do you remember that song that goes like "if you want to call me baby just go ahead now and if you like to tell me maybe just go ahead now and" on and on and on. Well its a little known fact that I love that song. I love that song so much that in the third grade, one of my good friends and myself made up our own version to that song. Now this girl is still one of my very best friends and the song,i do believe, is what has made it last for so long. Now our version went along the lines of "if you want to go to garner just go ahead now and if you want to ride the frio just go ahead now and" on and on and on. We were at garner state park that year. Very lovely place. We made up songs to tlc, billy ray and a few more. But the "if you" was/is my favorite.

I am getting move fever again. It seems I can never stay in one place over a year. I get all antsy and annoyed. I enjoy moving. But who knows. This town is too hot.

The new gameboy rocks. The new key chains are the shit. My new paintings are posted above. (with a couple of my favorite buttons) I like the the pictures with the two dunces facing away from eachother better. That is just me though.

My tarot cards are feeling lonely here lately. I need to give them some attention. I also need to find a good palm reader.

So as i said not that long ago, my yellow gameboy broke. Good news, I found a new one. It is pink and almost perfect. So I am happy again. And I guess it really wasnt your fault. I also found these really swell key chains. They are pictured above. My boyfriend bought me these pretty cool paintings. (pictures of them soon). They are going on the wall soon.

I might be going to bonnarroo this summer. I really hope this happens. I am buying my ticket next week, so really the only thing that can stand in the way is if they are sold out by then. Wish me luck on that one.

I really just like the way both of these looked so i wanted to share them. Nothing that exciting. My gameboy color is broke. Sadly I think I stepped on it even thought I want to blame it on everyone else. So we will just say that it was everyone else. Thanks a lot for everyone else for breaking my gameboy. Now i will have have to replace it. And that is something that i never wanted to do because it was the perfect yellow. And yes i know there are other yellow gameboys out there but this one was mine! ha!

Watch out for those silly co-workers or that shy guy who has been eyeing you. And to you Mr/Mrs Pranker, please do a good job today. Please make this an April Fools day worth it. Show me those true colors and really get out there and shine.

I have gobs of laundry to do and I am not off until tomorrow. So today is going to be a smell it (smells fine), wear it (is that a stain), and hope that no one notices day. Which has been going on for a while because somewhere in my brain it never dawned on me that clean close are important. I should have been born a guy because they get away with this kind of stuff a lot smoother than I do.
